Information You Provide

The app stores the bill and preference information you enter, including bill names, categories, amounts, currencies, due dates, billing cycles, reminder settings, payment methods, notes, paid dates, payment history, theme, language, notification preferences, and premium status.

Account and Sign-In Data

You can use the app as a guest or sign in with Google. When you sign in, Firebase Authentication may provide a user identifier, email address, and basic account information needed to connect your data to your account.

Household Sharing

If you use household features, the app stores household names, invite codes, member roles, member display names, optional member emails, shared bills, and bill responsibility assignments so household members can collaborate.

Cloud Sync

Bill Reminder uses Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, to save and sync your data across sessions and devices. Guest data may be migrated into an account if you choose to sign in.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app schedules local bill reminders using the due dates and reminder times you configured. You can turn notifications off in the app or system settings.

Imports and Analysis

The app includes bill import helpers for text, links, CSV-style data, Google Sheets links, Notion links, screenshots, or receipts. Some imports are parsed locally on your device. When smart import is needed, selected content may be sent to OpenAI to extract bill names, amounts, currencies, due dates, categories, billing cycles, and confidence signals. You should review imported details before saving them.

How We Use Information

We use your information to provide bill tracking, reminders, reports, calendar views, overdue labels, household sharing, account sign-in, sync, and app preferences. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

The app relies on Firebase, Google Sign-In, and OpenAI smart import. Those services process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. Platform services such as Apple or Google notification systems may also process device-level notification settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your bill data remains available while your account or guest session data exists. You can delete individual bills inside the app. You can delete your account from the Settings screen, which removes your account, personal bills, payment history, settings, and any household you own. If you no longer have the app installed, contact support to start an account deletion request.

Security

We use Firebase security features and app-level access controls to protect synced data. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid storing highly sensitive secrets in bill notes.

Children

Bill Reminder is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The updated date above shows when this page was last revised.
